The beauty of Mu waterfall in Hoa Binh
Located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, under the first floor of the majestic Truong Son range, Mu waterfall belongs to Mu village, Tu Do commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh, 140 km from Hanoi.
From afar, though not seeing, but we can hear sound of water. Climbing down the short stone steps, around the groves, Mu waterfall appears with white water foam.
Stepping down to the waterfall you will feel the spectacular beauty that nature has endowed this place with the blue water, huge cool down the cliff into each floor.
In the foot of Mu waterfall is a small lake, with walkway in each floor. The depth of the bottom in the deepest place only reaches 2m so it is too dangerous for visitors. One of the highlights of Mu foot waterfall is the foot waterfall segment with the height of 100 meters after years because the water flows, which has created an awkward blue water as a quite large natural swimming pool.
Along the waterfall from downstream to upstream, the forest canopy is murky. The tourists can glaze by this way to conquer each floor.
How to get there
To reach Mu waterfall, starting from Hanoi, you will go towards Thang Long Boulevard to carry on Ho Chi Minh Trail. After running more than 100km, close to the national forest of Cuc Phuong, you turn right and go 15km more towards Vu Ban town (Lac Son district’s center). Then asking for directions to Mu waterfall (Ngoc Son, Ngoc Lau, Tu Do). Note that the road from Vu Ban Mu to Mu waterfall is really challenge for drivers because this way is very hard and narrow to go so the most appropriate mean is motorcycles.
