Vien Ngo Monastery in Ninh Thuan
Vien Ngo Monastery Zen On Da Chong Mountain. Aside from Buddha architecture, the Vien Ngo Monastery Zen also attracts tourists with a harmonic combination of surroundings such as landscapes, villages, fields and ponds.
Vien Ngo Monastery Zen is situated on the side of Da Chong mountain, Khanh Hai town, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province. It is about 5 km from Phan Rang Thap Cham city in the Northeast.
Vien Ngo Monastery Zen is considered as a sacred land of Ninh Thuan. This is also the biggest monastery zen in Ninh Thuan and managed by monk Thich Thong Hue.
Vien Ngo Monastery Zen was made of stone and precious wood with two separate areas: houses for monks and houses for nuns. The Monastery Zen’s back is against the mountain and facing to sea. Buddha statues and temples are situated from mountain’s side to the top.
The hall of Vien Ngo Monastery Zen was designed and built simply but still majestic and sacred. It is a place where pilgrims pray.
A corner of the Vien Ngo Monastery Zen is on construction. A couple of white dragons are placed in front of the hall’s gate.
From the Vien Ngo Monastery Zen, tourists can admire green fields, villages hidden behind mountains, Nai pond in distance, etc.
